What happens next?
Your current Dext plan will automatically switch to your new Dext package at your next renewal date on or after November 1st 2023. We will make sure you have full visibility of your updated pricing by sharing confirmation emails both 60 and 30 days before your current plan is due to renew.
How does this affect the number of users at my firm who can access our Dext package?
There will no longer be a limit on the number of users who can access your Dext plan at your firm. That means you can invite as many team members as you like to use the product and better manage your workloads.
Will this impact the number of clients we have as part of our Dext package?
You will be assigned to your new package based on the number of active clients you’ve had on the platform in the last twelve months. If for any reason you need to adjust the number of clients you have, please talk directly to your Account Manager.
Will this impact my clients?
There will be no impact on your clients' experience with Dext.
What are the pricing details?
We’ll charge you on based the number of clients you have added onto Dext, which means you’ll only pay for what you need and nothing else. Our unlimited client bundles will formally cease globally.
For example pricing please review this PDF for the UK region.

If you have any further questions, please get in touch with your Account Manager who will be able to provide more detail.

When will my new bills begin
Your billing will update at your first billing point on or after November 1st 2023. This is the case whether you have an annual or monthly subscription with Dext. In other words, if you have a monthly subscription to Dext, your billing will update in November. If you have an annual subscription, your billing will update in the month it’s due to renew.
Are there any new features coming soon?
You can watch our recent Dext Showcase to find out more about our future roadmap & Dext’s new mission and vision. The Global Dext Showcase: Empowering your Success (12:00 BST) (vidyard.com)

Will my current Dext integrations change?
No, you’ll still have access to all of the same integrations as you do today.
How does this impact my add-ons?
You’ll get more Bank Statement Extraction (BSE) and Line Item Extraction (LIX) add-ons as part of your new package. There are some add-ons included as standard in your new subscription (5 BSE per client; 1 LIX per client; 1 Boost per client). Where add-on usage is pooled, it means that the total standard available usage is based on the number of clients in the subscription. However, you can apply those add-ons across your entire client base in whichever way you like. For example, you’ll get 5 BSE when you add a client, but those BSEs are not limited to that client alone; you’re adding 5 BSEs to the available total.
What can I do with my smaller clients who don’t need the entire Prepare package?
You’ll be able to move your existing Dext Prepare clients to our Dext Solo product from your next renewal date on or after November 1st. In the meantime, you can add new sole trader or landlord clients to Dext Solo up until November while it’s still free to use.
What is Dext Solo?
Dext Solo is designed specifically for unincorporated non-vat registered sole traders, landlords and their accountants and bookkeepers. Built into your existing Dext Prepare account, Dext Solo provides all the features and capabilities your sole trader and landlord clients need, and no more. You’ll find the same market-leading data extraction and categorisation tools that you use currently in Dext Prepare, with added ability to manage multiple income sources for individual clients, along with quick and easy export options to support your self-assessment tax workflows.
Who is Dext Solo suitable for?
Dext Solo is suitable for clients who are neither VAT registered nor incorporated – i.e. sole traders and (many) landlords.
Any clients that are currently integrated with bookkeeping software should remain on Dext Prepare.
What are the feature differences between Dext Solo and Dext Prepare?
Dext Solo offers specialised features and reports to assist with the completion of the SA103F and SA105, including the calculation of disallowable expenditure. Tax reporting facilitates easy analytical review, helping to identify potential discrepancies.
Dext Solo does not feature VAT extraction.
How much can Dext Solo actually do?
Dext Solo allows you to add self employed and landlord clients, along with their respective income sources. You can invite clients to download a specific version of the Dext mobile app, offering a personalised onboarding experience. This tailored setup will guide them through using the Dext Solo app effectively for submitting their invoices and receipts.
For each income stream, clients can connect their bank account (to cash code), upload invoices and receipts, or use both methods to submit their financial activity.
Clients and / or accountants/bookkeepers can categorise, view and adjust transactions. You can view, adjust and export summary totals to Excel/CSV files to support other self-assessment workflows. Additionally, Dext Solo can automatically calculate disallowable expenditure.
What do I have to do next for Dext Solo?
We have built a new feature within Dext Prepare called the ‘client review screen’ to help guide you migrate clients from Dext Prepare to Dext Solo.
What should I do if I still have questions?
